Movement Rules

King King Moves one square in either direction
Knight Knight Jumps exactly two squares in either direction, leaping over any pieces in the way
Rook Rook Slides any number of squares in either direction, blocked by pieces in its path
KingRook Castle If the king and rook haven't moved, aren't adjacent, the king isn't in check, and all squares between them are empty, the king moves one square towards the rook while the rook moves two squares towards the king
